The Daily Drive is a daily (duh) post of all the prominent things going on in the sports world we didn’t cover, and anything else we might want to share with you. Except the arm rest. Everyone knows you use the one to your right. Come on man, is this your first rodeo?
First things first, I’d like to throw my hat into the Jenna Fischer/Amy Adam’s debate.
With that, let’s take a look at the sport’s world today:
-Bill Simmon’s wrote a column about the Masters, a nice change of pace from writing about the NBA for the thousandth time this year. It’s not bad, actually. I’ll still stick to the podcasts though.
-Oh and as for the Masters itself, this guy won. But of course as noted before, the story is about Tiger and how he lost it.
-A-Rod still isn’t feeling too well, as he was scratched from last nights Yankees/Sawx finale. I think someone just wanted another go around with the rectal thermometer.
swept took 2 out of 3 from the Braves this weekend, and continue towards D.C. during their NL East wrecking tour. Tonight Tomorrow night they face former right fielder Jayson Werth who hasn’t been playing so hot for his team. You could almost say he wasn’t worth the big contract. ::slide whistle, avoids pie to face::
What’s that? Still not convinced in Jenna over Amy? I’ve got some more mind blowing facts after the jump.
If you ignore the words it's like you are at the beach with her.
– We’ve got an extensive NHL Playoff preview coming up in the next couple of days, but some quick links about the local boys. First off the Caps know they can’t take these 8th-seeded Rags for granted. Meanwhile, the Flyers have a bit of a history with the Buffalo Sabres, something that may be a sign of post season glory to come.
-Speaking of the Flyers, check out rookie net minder Sergie Bobrovsky’s new goalie mask. Whenever you can pay homage to one of the more iconic Simpson’s characters, you should.
-The NFL and the players have been ordered to resume mediation, set for Thursday in Minneapolis, by Judge Susan Richard Nelson. She’s had a hard enough life with that middle name I’m sure, I’ll spare her the joke. This time.
-The WNBA Draft happened today. I know this because it was on ESPN, and I watched it. And you thought your day was rough.
-But this guy is definitely having the worst day out of all of us. Even though what happens to him is pretty grim, I still find myself smiling during the video. A good “USA!, USA!” chant will do that you. (Must sign into youtube to watch the video.) Happy Monday guys!!!
